Description

Guwahati is a sprawling city beside the Brahmaputra River in the northeast Indian state of Assam. It’s known for holy sites like the hilltop Kamakhya Temple, featuring shrines to the Hindu deities Shiva and Vishnu. To the east, 18th-century Navagraha Temple is an astronomical center with planetary shrines. Umananda Temple, dedicated to Shiva and covered with engravings, stands on Peacock Island in the river.
Shillong is a hill station in northeast India and capital of the state of Meghalaya. It’s known for the manicured gardens at Lady Hydari Park. Nearby, Ward’s Lake is surrounded by walking trails. North, the Don Bosco Centre for Indigenous Cultures features displays on the region’s native people. Waterfalls include the Elephant Falls to the southwest. East of here, forested Shillong Peak offers city views.

Day : 1 Departure From Howrah By Train

Departure Howrah Rly. Stn. at 3.55 p.m by 12345 UP Saraighat Express for Guwahati.
Night-Stay:In Train
Day : 2 Guwahati

Arrival to Guwahati at 10.05 a.m.& sifted to hotel. Post Lunch visit Kamakhya Temple. Return to the hotel in the evening.

Day : 3 Guwahati to kaziranga

Guwahati at 8.30 am for Kaziranga (165 kms.) Enroute Lunch. Reach kaziranga in the Evening & check-in to hotel.

Day : 4 Kaziranga

Hotel at 5 am for Kaziranga National Forest visit by Jeep/Elephant (@ Party’s own cost). Return to Hotel by 9.30 am. Rest of the day free.

Day : 5 Kaziranga to Shillong

Kaziranga at 8.30 am for Shillong (228 kms.). Reach Shillong in the afternoon. & Check-in to hotel. Evening at your leisure. Night-Stay:Shillong
Day : 6 Shillong

Hotel at 8 am to visit Cherrapunji (54 kms.) (Falls, Ramkrishna Mission & Cave). Enroute lunch. Return to Hotel by 5 pm

Day : 7 Shillong

Hotel at 8 am for Mawlynnong Village (70 kms.) covering Root Bridge, Enroute lunch. Return to Hotel at 6 pm.

Day : 8 Shillong to Guwahati

After breakfast visit Shillong half day Sight Seeing (Shillong Peak, Polo Ground, Elephant Falls, Kali Temple and Ward Lake) & return to hotel. After early lunch leave Shillong for Guwahati. Reach Guwahati in the evening & check-in to hotel.

Guwahati at 11.45 am for Guwahati Railway Station to board the Train 12346 DN Saraighat Express at 12.20 pm. for Howrah.
