Description

Bhutan officially known as the Kingdom of Bhutan is a landlocked country in the Eastern Himalayas. "Druk Yul," or "land of the thunder dragon" as Bhutan is known, has been heavily influenced by Tibetan culture and Tibetan Buddhism and is located between Tibet and India. Nepal and Bangladesh are located in close proximity to Bhutan but do not share a land border. The country has a population of over 754,000 and a territory of 38,394 square kilometers (14,824 sq mi) which ranks 133rd in terms of land area, and 160th in population. Bhutan is a constitutional monarchy with Vajrayana Buddhism as the state religion.

Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

  • Day : 1 Departure From Sealdah By Train

    Arrive at Sealdah Railway Station &, met by "Sweet Happy Journey“ representative on reporting time and get the train by 13141 Up Testa Torsha Exp at 1.40 pm. For New Alipurduar.
    Night-Stay:In Train

  • Day : 2 Jaigaon

    Arrival to New Alipurduar Railway Stn. & transfer to Jaigaon Hotel. (En-rute breakfast) Post Lunchhave to attand immegration office for Permit by foot, Overnight stay at  Jaigaon.
    Night-Stay:Jaigaon

  • Day : 3 Paro

    After breakfast leave for Paro. (148 km. 6 hrs.) En route visit Paro Airport (view point), Overnight stay at Paro.
    Night-Stay:Paro

  • Day : 4 Paro

    After breakfast visit Chele La pass (13083 ft.). Return to Hotel for lunch and enjoy Paro Local Sight Seeing including Kyichu Monastery, Ruins of Drukgyel Dzong, Rin Pung Dzong (view from outside), Paro Chu.Overnight stay at Paro.

  • Day : 5 Paro to Punakha

    After Breakfast leave Paro for Punakha via Dochula Pass (10335 ft)(117 km. 5 hrs). Evening visit Punakha Dzong & Wandhu Chu. Over night stay at Punakha.

  • Day : 6 Punakha for Thimphu

    After Breakfast leave Punakha for Thimphu (75 km. 3hrs). Overnight stay at Thimphu.
    Night-Stay:Thimphu

  • Day : 7 Thimpu Local Sight Seeing

    After Breakfast enjoy Thimpu Local Sight Seeing (BBS tower, Memorial Chorten, Taschichho Dzong, National Library and Simtokha Dzong). Return to hotel and Overnight stay at Thimphu.
    Night-Stay:Thimphu

  • Day : 8 Thimphu to Jaigaon

    Morning leave Thimphu for Jaigaon (152 km. 6 hrs.) Enroute Lunch. Arrival to Thimphu and over night stay at Jaigaon.
    Night-Stay:Jaigaon

  • Day : 9 On journey.

    After Lunch proceed to New Alipur Railway Stn to board the train by 12378 Dn Padatik Exp. At 5.45 pm. For Sealdah.
    Night-Stay:In Train

  • Day : 10 Sealdah- Tour End

    Arrival to Sealdah at 6.45 am.

  • Accommodation in good standard Hotels. Family wise room will be provided in all places of Night halt.
  • All Transfer & Sightseeing by Coach/Tempo/Sumo as per Itinerary.
  • All meals – fixed Menu meals will be by the Hotel. Except Jaigaon (Fixed Menu will be served by our catering service including train food except Bhutan. All Portage (Except Kolkata Railway Station & any Airport).
